Friends in the Ann Arbor tech scene recently went belly-up after missing out on a second round of funding
and we were part of the circle of buzzards picking at their corpse. We took as many of their
computers and monitors as we could for our ever growing machine room and test bed. I
scored a perfectly flat 21" monitor out of the booty. Most excellent. Now my powerbook
has 1024x768 + 1280x1024 (2 097 152!) pixels for me to use and all my tinkpad-usin cow-orkers are
jealous (their laptops do not support spanning).
It's sad to see our friends go under in such a short period, a real and sober reminds
for those of us with big start-up ambitions... But great gear for superCheap is good
news for us.
