Darknet Map
Overview:
This map shows the source addresses of hosts detected by
the IMS darknet network over one day in Oct 2005. (TCP packets
only)
Key:
- Each colored dot indicates a packet was detected by the darknet
from that source address.
- The color represents the destination port number (0-65536 is
encoded by a hue value, red->purple->blue->green->yellow->red)
- Black means no packet was detected from that source address.
- The deep blue color indicates Bogon addresses.
- Bogons are unallocated and unroutable addresses. See Team
CYMRU's
Bogon
list for more information.
Observations:
- There appear to be a large number of spoofed packets due to the
many packets detected from bogon space
