beauty and the street
new magazines
sat next to a guy who works for a major magazine publisher on the flight
home the other night. nice guy, too bad i had to doze off (tired, slight
cold, late night, etc). anyhow, i started getting the wilson
quarterly, a journal that is like harper's,
a magazine i used to read, but with more bite and depth.
they pointed me to in character,
a magazine that explores the role of character in one's life. each issue
focuses on a new theme: thrift, purpose, justice, etc ... you can read a
bunch of it online, check it out. i like it, much like i enjoy reading from
worthwhile magazine. lately, as
career stuff is on my mind, i'm considering what i want to consider my
best achievements. if this kind of things is on your mind, check these
out and see if they don't get you thinking.
