meijer flowers (4)

a simple flower found in the "english garden" section of the meijer gardens greenhouse. i like how the light falls in this one.

been messing around a bit with functional programming lately. while i make use of stuff like map(), reduce(), lambda, and filter() in python, i'm not really doing hardcore FP in python. and with those threatened (surely to be replaced by someone's module) in an upcoming python release (see The fate of reduce() in Python 3000 via LtU), i should learn how they're done more formally in truer FP styles.

the Tcl wiki has been useful ... while i'm not a lambda calculus student, i am starting to get it: and if you still want to recurse, you may want to play around with some of the fun stuff in the little javascripter.
