Family time at the Merrill household. I drove up to Mt. Pleasant in the morning and proceeded to chill with the family. Before dinner Mom decided it was time to decorate sugar cookies. It was a strange little activity that we've done many times before, but it was still strange. The cookies are so much better without the frosting, but I had fun decorating anyways. I found myself in a very strange mood and decided to decorate the bottoms of most of my cookies. The flat surface was a little more interesting than the top.

It's been a long time since I've really spent time with my family. I was up for before thanksgiving for a night, but I was really just physically there. I plan on spending lots of time with my family. Now that I'm never home, I actually enjoy the time I spend with them.
