While searching the web for any sort of news of friends from high school, I randomly
came across these pictures today. They were on the City of Okaya, Japan, website.
In August 1992 I participated in a sister city exchange program and spent two weeks
with a host family in Okaya. Th third picture was taken in my host family's home.
Strange. In the first picture from the left is Sarah, me, nihon-zin I don't remember
(the one sitting is the mayor), Charles, Ange, and more residents of Okaya that I
recognize but never knew, and certainly don't know their names. It
was really strange to find this little reminder of it online.
