i read in the interview at
http://www.daemonnews.org/200004/interview.html about the effords to
have a stable abi for the bsd's. how real is that for openbsd? i notice
that i did not have to recompile some binaries over several distribution
upgrades. but still in the libc (?) Makefile one is warned that one
should not count on the interfaces to remain unchanged. Also the so-name
of the important libs is increased in every release, which should only be done
when the abi compatibility is broken. Is there an official statement
from the openbsd team?
i searched the archive for this, nothing.
