nuqneH,
I add a couple of my own sysctls under net.inet.tcp and one under net.inet.udp.
(i edit tcp_var.h, udp_var.h and make sure that everyting is in sync:
/usr/include/netinet, sysctl itself, libc (just in case) and libkvm).
New sysctls work fine. Everyting other too - on 2.4 and 2.6 systems.
When i do it on 2.8 ps(1) and top(1) does not show process command lines
anymore, just process names in (). vm.psstrings value looks sane - it does
not even change as far as i can see.
What else can i do to track the problem further? I checked kern_exec.c and
found no relevant changes :(
