cvs and my broken le

Hello;

I am trying to get the my le1 work on my ss5. there seems to be a bug in
the if_le.c, and I was told this was fixed.

so I've done:

cvs checkout -P -rOPENBSD_2_8 src/sys

but still did not get the "if_le.c,v 1.17" instead I have v 1.6 
(I know there is a v 1.17 from the cvs web interface)

I have failed to get my second network card which is based on amd7990
for the past month. Any help/recomendations/ideas very much appreciated.
