I just encountered the problem again on the weekend. It's got 128MB
of RAM, and when I last checked, only about 16MB was being used. No
swap was being used, but I don't really have any userland processes
running, so if it is thrashing, it's in kernel space.
Sometimes it's just IPF that's crashing, so an 'ipf -D' and an
'ipf -E -Fa -f /etc/ipf.rules' puts it back to normal. Other times
the machine completely dies.
Is anyone encountering this problem without IPFilter running?
