2.8 snapshot (floppy28.fs) of Oct 13 panics on xl0...

Hello,
thought to look at newer stuff, but was confused with kernel panic
during xl0 attach. This machine successfully ran 2.5, 2.7, but pre-2.8
stuff seems to have some caveats, for example boot program hangs when
i give it command "help" with following screen:
