weird hangs

Hi guys,

I'm sure you hate this kind of bug reports but here's what I have.
There's an i386 2.7 system (built from 2.7-stable branch on May 29th)
sitting under my desk. All it's doing is it's continously checking out
our product source tree from CVS and runs the compilation (yeah, some
people are lame enough to commit uncompilable code).

The problem is this system dies once a week (literally after 6-7 days of
uptime). And this is not a complete freeze. It answers pings, login on
the console authenticates me and syslog prints "ROOT LOGIN on
tty*". Then I'm getting motd and "You have mail.". And that's
it. Nothing is happenning on this console after that, if I press keys
they are echoed. I can login on other consoles until all of them are
taken down. And my final consolation is the reset button.  After reboot
there's nothing in the log files.

I tried to press Ctrl-Alt-Escape but it doesn't take me into ddb.
Must be something stupid on my part.

Well, dmesg and a typical "ps ax" are attached and I will certainly
appreciate any help.
