Upon Booting the latest snapshot floppy.fs, the Adaptec aic-7895 is
detected and goes through some initialization, and then it loops for about
5 minutes doing this
sd0(ahc1:6:0): SCB 0x1d - timed out while idle, SEQADDR == 0xf
sd0(ahc1:6:0): Queuing a BDR SCB
sd0(ahc1:6:0) Bus Device Reset Message Sent
sd0(ahc1:0:0): no longer in timeout, status = 0
ahc1: Bus Device Reset on A:6. 1 SCB, aborted
The dmesg buffer is filled with these, so I cannot copy the initial bootup
messages from this floppy, though this is the relevant bootup message
about the scsi controller which I was able to copy
ahc1 at pci0 dev 9 function 0 "Adaptec AIC-7895" rev 0x03: irq 11
ihc1: Illegal cable configuration!!. Only two connectors on the adapter
may be used at a time!
ahc1: Wide Channel A, SCSI Id=7, 16/255 SCBs
scsibus0 at ahc1: 16 targets
ahc1:A:6: refuses WIDE negotiation. Suing 8bit transfers
ahc1: target 6 using 8bit transfers
ahc1: board is not responding
cmd fail
Then it goes on to have more errors as it detects the second
channel, until it begins to loop over the bus device reset error. The
message about the cable configuration is somewhat confusing.
This output from floppyB.fs is as follows
