When I run a real cpu hog like compressing big files using bzip2, 'top'
and 'systat pigs' report 10.5% of cpu usage for the compression tool,
instead of something near 100%. Surely this process is taking all cpu
time, because 'top' and 'vmstat' say '0% idle'.
The machine is a K6-III/400 running a GENERIC kernel, the whole OS is
build from current sources as of last Tuesday. I did not verify this on
a different machine, yet, sinc I don't run heaters in my shack during
summer. :)
