Can anyone give any clues to what I may be missing? I tried to use ppp
to dialin to my ISP. I set the line and device like in the man page,
dial and connect. After loggin int, ppp detects the connection, the
probmpt goes from ppp to PPP, a default router is added as is
the tun0 interface.
The only problem is that no traffic flows. tcpdump on tun0 shows
nothing more than time stamps a copule times. the show lcp command
shows:
PPP ON slater2> show lcp
LCP [Opened]
his side: MRU 1006, ACCMAP 000a0000, PROTOCOMP 1, ACFCOMP 1,
MAGIC 00000000, REJECT 0000
my side: MRU 1500, ACCMAP 00000000, PROTOCOMP 1, ACFCOMP 1,
MAGIC 623705f6, REJECT 8a0000
Defaults: MRU = 1500, ACCMAP = 00000000 Open Mode: active
(delay1)
However, if I script this connection in a chat script and
use pppd it works fine.
Is there some other command I need to issue with ppp that
tells the computer to GO or start working?
FYI, this is with OpenBSD 2.3 on a Laptop with a pcmcia modem.
Thanks,
Ste
