Hi,
I just semi-successfully built two OpenBSD 2.4 systems. I'm very happy
with them, but I say "semi-successfully" because the tail end of the make
build process for the applications outputs some ominous looking errors.
Specifically, i am seeing errors that seem related to the compilation of
ssl and its dependencies. For instance,
/usr/src/usr.sbin/ssleay/../../lib/libssl/src/apps/apps.h:66 crypto.h: No
such file or directory
and
/usr/src/usr.sbin/ssleay/../../lib/libssl/src/apps/verify.c:65 x509.h: No
such file or directory
etc, come up.
I don't know if I should worry about this, since the latter error seems
kernel specific (I don't have any x509 cards in my machine, so I mitted
that module from my kernel), but my concern springs from the fact that I
want to use my systems as two ends of a VPN tunnel. I want to use ipsec to
do this, not ssl, but I hope that the absence of that crypt.h file won't
adversely affect the proper functioning of ipsec, or other
encryption-related apps. I was able to add users to my password file, and
log in as them, so I assume some level of encryption services is available
on my machines.
Anyway, just wondering if you have any thoughts either on how to fix these
problems, or whether they matter or not for what I'm trying to do. Thanks
for any help.
