Ah-h-h, relief seems to be an e-mail away, still! I want to than all who have
responded to my problems.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On the Sparc problem:
I will give the SunOS insatallboot a tussle when I go to work, later this AM.
It coul be interesting since I blew away SunOS to install Linux, and then blew
away Linux to install OpenBSD.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On the 486 problem:
This may very well be a candidate for a FAQ (is there a FAQ doc) I probably
shoulda mentioned that the VGA card was an old SVGA cars with an Oak-77 chip.
I was using that card because it had a jumper for monovga, and I am using an
old mono vga monitor from a ps2 that was being surplused.
Rather than just turning off the monitor, I swapped the VGA card for a Tseng
card of nearly equivalent age, and I made it past the entry point line.
Well, it is on to attempt the install.
Thanx to all who took the time to halp out,
dlg
