ping buffers again :: Cron <emory@bitchslap> /sbin/ping -c 1 205.177.4.1 > /dev/null (fwd)

again,

i got the neurotic buffer problem with ping and openbsd. machine was
down, dead to the world. all machines on that hub and segment are fine,
so i login at console and restart.

ifconfig showed the device was up and whatnot, no lookups could be made,
could not access hosts by ip. i would *really* like to know what i need
to do in order to get better information for somebody if this is something
that occurs and needs fixing, or if its a hardware issue.

going to put the ol' de1 card back in now and see how things go, they went
smoothly for a while using the extra dec ethernet card i had.

machine alpha/UDB/233
OpenBSD 2.3
