When setting up a new printer, I spent along time discovering that the
following two printcap entries are not identical:
lp|hewlett-packard:\
lp=:rm=hp:rp=lp:sd=/var/spool/lpd:lf=/var/log/lpd-errs:\
sh:
lp|hewlett-packard:\
lp=:\
rm=hp:\
rp=lp:\
sd=/var/spool/lpd:\
lf=/var/log/lpd-errs:\
sh:
I strongly prefer the second form. Its worked on 4.3 bsd systems, its
worked on BSDI 4.4 systems. Is there a reason it broke on OpenBSD
(2.1, sparc)
