Tree patches from c.pascoe at itee dot uq dot edu dot au:
- mask of vlan tag to ensure upper bit isn't present from hardware
- avoid mbuf leak on error
- make sure sizeof(ether_header) bytes are present in the firest mbuf
before passing it up to ether_input()
