Installation of cups disables printer

I'm running OpenBSD 3.8 (cdrom). I have afpfilter installed as
my printer driver. I works well. But if cups somehow gets installed,
I can not print in KWord until I pkg_delete cups(-1.1.23p6).

This has happened twice now.
