I imported this specifically on request by the people working on
PIM support, because we don't have any other routing daemon that
speaks PIM-SM, and USC pimd is obsolete.
The port is fairly rough and has a number of known issues:
Everything is under $PREFIX/xorp.
The upstream authors purposely mess with the autotool-configured
paths to force everything under a single directory. You can put
your configuration files wherever you want, though.
No documentation.
The included documentation can be built, but the build framework
doesn't install it anywhere yet. For now, you're best off to use
the documentation on the xorp.org home page.
It doesn't build on LP64.
Or at least it doesn't on amd64. Pavlin Radoslavov has offered
to fix this if given access to a 64-bit machine.
It doesn't obey CFLAGS.
Optimization flags are filtered out. Currently the build breaks
if optimization is enabled. Needs looking into.
One of the regression tests fails.
Needs looking into.
