Hello,
I have a August 13 build running here with precompiled packages of
August 8 added afer a complete pkg_delete.
uname -a:
OpenBSD werkel.rechners.hier 3.6 GENERIC#15 i386
Thats what i have found so far:
Without /etc/malloc.conf,
leopold_(_at_)_werkel:8$ xosview
Error: kvm_read(): invalid address (a0)
leopold_(_at_)_werkel:9$
leopold_(_at_)_werkel:5$ rox
leopold_(_at_)_werkel:6$ Error reading Pango modules file
** (ROX-Filer:8350): WARNING **: No builtin or dynamically loaded
modules
were found. Pango will not work correctly. This probably means
there was an error in the creation of:
'/etc/pango/pango.modules'
You may be able to recreate this file by running pango-querymodules.

Gnome refuses to run at all with gnome_segv dumping core (SIG_ABRT).
Output from .xsession-errors is here:

With
leopold_(_at_)_werkel:23$ ls -l /etc/malloc.conf
lrwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 3 Jun 19 13:12 /etc/malloc.conf@ -> JFG
leopold_(_at_)_werkel:24$
kde becomes more or less useless, most programs i tried died with
SIG_SEGV. You can find a few traces generated by the kde-crashmanager
here:
http://finegan.homeip.net/mecker/malloc.conf/index.html
Most of these crashes a related to /usr/local/lib/libqt-mt.so.3.32, it
seems.
On the bright side, pkg_adding stuff went absolutely perfect and fast!
