I recently upgraded my 3.4 system to -current from source. I
uninstalled all of the ports that I had installed, using pkg_delete, and
proceeded to update both my ports tree, and my /usr/src tree before
upgrading. I also deleted my old httpd.conf and copied the one on
/usr/src/usr.sbin/httpd/conf. I tweaked it to my liking and tried
running apache, and it worked just fine. I then installed mod_perl,
starting apache again to make sure there where no problems, and
everything worked just fine. I installed Apache::MP3 from ports, and
that worked just fine too.
I finally installed HTML::Mason from ports, and although the
installation went fine, apache won't start. If I include the following
line in httpd.conf:
PerlModule HTML::Mason::ApacheHandler
I get the following:
/usr/sbin/apachectl start: httpd could not be started
Has anybody else seen this problem?
