well, I actually don't know. Reading your mail, I did the following on
the machine where I generated the port:

$ wget http://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/stow/stow-1.3.3.tar.gz
--15:01:48--  http://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/stow/stow-1.3.3.tar.gz
           => `stow-1.3.3.tar.gz'
Connecting to www-cache.oeko.net:3128... connected!
Proxy request sent, awaiting response... 200 OK
Length: 139,417 [application/x-tar]

    0K .......... .......... .......... .......... .......... 36% @   2.44 MB/s
   50K .......... .......... .......... .......... .......... 73% @   1.95 MB/s
  100K .......... .......... .......... ......               100% @   2.08 MB/s

15:01:49 (2.14 MB/s) - `stow-1.3.3.tar.gz' saved [139417/139417]

So I think the source file name should be correct.

Best,
