MySQL 3.23.54

I'm a little curious why no one has brought this up yet.

I'm wondering if a port for the latest version of MySQL is being worked
on.

I'm lucky enough to have a semi-busy MySQL server, and looking over the
patches that the port for MySQL uses (and recalling problems I've had in
the past) I'm a little hesitant to go ahead and just compile my own
version.

So, is there new port to be waiting for, or should I go ahead and try my
luck with my own compiled version?
