libtool madness... sigh

Hi all,

I've actually gotten Ximian Evolution to start compiling (and I'm starting
to appreciate Espie's rants against Linux-isms :)).  Anyway, I'm stuck at
a libtool error of: "libtool: link: cannot find the library `'"

The actual (long) line leading up to the error was:

So, can someone someone give me pointers to help me figure out how to get
libtool to behave?
