Given that it's a configuration file, how about "rmt.conf"?
if the command is going to be srmt then perhaps it should be "srmt.conf"?

I just noticed that the rmt that ships with version 1.3 of Jörg
Schilling's star (port update forthcoming) has a configuration file
"/etc/default/rmt". Any suggestions for a more reasonable name,
that doesn't confuse users too much?
The rmt command itself will be installed as libexec/srmt.
/etc/srmt.dfl? ("rmt.dfl" is the name of the provided example file
in the source tree.)
