while technically correct solution, it does lack the use of the mechanism
in the bsd.ports.mk for doing this.
Specifically, 'make makesum' as described in bsd.port.mk(5) as well as
step 6 of the 'checklist' for making a port which is a link off of
http://www.openbsd.org/porting.html ...
