Couple questions.. where should I put a .pid file if a daemon is being run
non-suid root? in a /usr/local/lib?share?/daemon type of directory? or should
a directory in /var/run be created that it has the ability to write to? same
with log files.. where should those be places? (/usr/local/.. or /var/log ?)
Also, is it ok to create files in /etc/ that are not owned by root.wheel? if
a file is sensitive, but also requires that a non-privileged program can
access it?
Thanks,
