The software installs into /usr/local/freetds by default, I'm setting
$PREFIX to that if the user doesn't specify another location. I'm only
setting this explicitly so pkg/MESSAGE can see what it is.
I had originally wanted to keep it in its own tree (/usr/local/freetds)
so a user could install multiple versions into different directories,
each with a different version of the TDS protocol. If a user needs to
talk to multiple databases, each running a different version of
Microsoft SQL (as I do here), he would need to install a tds 7.0 flavor
and a 5.0 version, for example. Each application would point $SYBASE to
the respective directory. However, since I just realized one can't
install multiple flavors of the same port, I guess this is kind of
pointless now.
