Hello.
Has anyone experienced bind 8.2.2-P7 built from ports in
Release 2.8 to crash when receiving queries of type TXT/CHAOS ?
This is the last NS query I found in /var/log/daemon before
the nameserver died:
--snip--
Feb 25 20:44:56 ns2 named[18020]: XX /64.45.60.53/version.bind/TXT/CHAOS
--snip--
Maybe a script-kiddie tool out there to crash bind8 servers?
I am planning to switch to bind9, but I don't want to use 9.0.0
of ports_2_8. Is it recommended to compile bind 9.1.x out
of ports_current on a 2.8 system?
Maybe I'll have a look at DJ B's DNS, but for now I just don't want
some script-kiddie crashing my nameservers.
Thanks for any help.
-Kai.
