Well, that wasn't quite right. It builds a static libary but doesn't ranlib it.
For now you can ranlib it by hand; my next version fixes it in post-install.
Better would be to build a shared library, of course. But as it is I'm trying
to get kmail working. Actually kmail is done by ksirc (their IRC client) is
taking longer... If it blows this time I may just omit it for now.
