I don't know how many applications in the tree will depend upon this,
but FreeBSD includes it in src/gnu/usr.bin/readline whereas we don't.
Would it be hard to convince FreeBSD to put this in ports? It compiles
with NO changes just fine .. (except no shared library, which would be nice).
Should I try building a port out of it and see how it flies? What do you
