iwi WIFI device timeout issue

Hello,
Im having difficulty with a intel wireless card. The kernel says is 
"iwi0: device timeout" and this happens about 3 seconds after /etc/netstart.

However I worked out if you very quickly use the network before this msg 
has a chance to show, it will work for a while ( maybe hours sometimes) 
and then eventually time out again. Any suggestions? (OPENBSD_3_7 i386 
IBM Thinkpad R50e)

It doesnt stop me from working, but its just a pain having to re-run 
/etc/netstart
