Hi there,
Can anyone recommend an ADSL modem - either PCI or USB - that is
known to work well and reliably with OpenBSD? The only one I've
seen other people talk about is the Alcaltel, but out of the two sets of
drivers I've found, the userspace driver is described as 'inefficient and
unnecessary', saying that the kernel driver gives better performance
with less latancy. However, the kernel driver linked to from that
website hasn't been updated since 3.1, or is it now part of the kernel?
I'd prefer to have the BSD box doing the connection and NAT/firewall
than use an ethernet to ADSL modem.
Cheers,
Steve.
