I have tried the patch too, and it seems the mixer. However I have put an audio
amplifier at maximum volume at the output and tried a lot of settings. Not the
faintest sound came out (except the noise...).
My theory now is that it's still the auich audio driver that doesn't give any
analog output.
Maybe this helps. I have understood quite few people have no audio on modern
Dell and probably Fujitsu equipment.
