Thanks to all who replied. Hanna's suggestion to
look into "boot -c" and config -e" , along with the
google hint (who would have thought of that ;-)
allowed me to fix the annoying irq glitch.

And "disklabel", well lazy me just thought pseudo-
devices corresponding to pre-existing PC partitions
would have been created automatically at install time.

But I now know a little more about another fine OS
and will make sure to download the latest next time.
