[I sent this once already, but it didn't get through ...]
I am in the process of setting up a fax server on my OpenBSD box, I
found a secondhand ISA hardware modem (see dmesg), installed the HylaFax
package, I tried to find out the capabilities of the modem using cu ...
dopey:jakob {194} sudo cu -hl cua00
Connected
And it stays there, no input possible, except ~?, ~. and friends. I
hoped to be able to ask it nicely
at+fclass=?
and to receive a useful response, but nothing at all. I tried tip
(after having read /etc/remote and remote(5) trying to understand), but
it always asks for a phone number that I don't know where to put ....
So, is it the modem? Is it my stupdity (you are not obliged to answer
this positively)? Is it something else? Please don't tell me to rtfm,
I have done this all night long ...
Thanks for your input,
Jakob.
