In 2001 I tried to get HiFn to provide the required documentation so
OpenBSD can build full support of the HiFn products. Obviously, that
attempt didn't work out but none the less, I'm going to try it again. At
the moment, I do not know if the VP of Marketing, Tom Moore, will even
meet with me about it but I would like to be prepared.
From the developers I'll need to know what you want, specifically,
preferably in as much detail as you can give me. I know in the past
there have previously been issues regarding missing docs on how to
program the HIPP but the more details you can give me on what you want,
the better I can (hopefully) fill them.
From the users of HiFn or other crypto chipsets, either directly or
indirectly, I'd like to hear statements regarding how important *BSD
support is to you. Like any company, HiFn will be most interested in
meeting the needs of it's customers and I would like to make HiFn aware
of a need for *BSD support.
If at all possible, please keep your replies on the list so they can be
archived and used as examples for the folks at HiFn.
And lastly, nope, I don't personally use crypto chipsets of any kind,
instead, I just happen to live in the same place as the HiFn head
quarters, so meeting with them would be easy for me.
