Acatel STH modem & pptp

Hello friends.

I'm trying to get my modem to work which is not going very well. I have an Alcatel Speedtouch Home ethernet modem and I'm trying to use OpenBSD's pptp package to establish a connection to it.

(18:12:58)runespoor_(_at_)_portal[~] $ sudo cat /etc/ppp/options
name "username_(_at_)_myisp_(_dot_)_bah"
noauth
noipdefault
defaultroute
debug

(18:14:40)runespoor_(_at_)_portal[~] $ sudo cat /etc/ppp/pap-secrets
username_(_at_)_myisp_(_dot_)_bah 10.0.0.138 mypassword

(17:58:29)runespoor_(_at_)_portal[~] $ sudo pfctl -d
pf disabled
(18:07:20)runespoor_(_at_)_portal[~] $ sudo /usr/local/sbin/pptp 10.0.0.138
warn[open_inetsock:pptp_callmgr.c:310]: connect: Connection timed out
fatal[callmgr_main:pptp_callmgr.c:133]: Could not open control connection to 10.0.0.138
fatal[open_callmgr:pptp.c:283]: Call manager exited with error 256
^C
(18:10:58)runespoor_(_at_)_portal[~] $

Here's what /var/log/messages has to say:
