Curious...
That basicly means something went funny VERY early in the boot process.
Hardware:
Intel Server platform SR1325TP1-E
Motherboard = Intel SE7210TP1-E
CPU = Pentium 4 (Prescott)
SATA RAID 1 is configured. Adaptec embedded SATA Host RAID controller is the onboard interface
none of which means anything to me, but all things considered, you will
be forgiven for not providing a dmesg. 8)
Should this work? Any other SATA on-board RAID anyone has working with 3.5?
you asking me to go look in the hardware compatability lists for you? 8)
my guess would be that it is "software RAID" and thus, "no", but that's
not your problem (yet). you aren't getting anywhere near the disk
system before you are getting your hang.
I'd be curious if a boot floppy worked better for you (I think it will)
Much more relevant to your problem than the internal code name for your
P4 processor would be info about the CDROM and how it is hooked to your
computer, as that is where your problem is.
And, just to make sure -- this is an Official CD? If not, does it work
in any other computer?
Nick.
