I'm using Perl to create a web front-end for an application that needs
root privileges. I've read enough to see that suid is a hot potato --
grab it, use it, drop it, and careful with your inputs. Any other
gothchas come to mind? Lessons learned? I hate to use the cliche, "best
practices." However, if you'll pardon the flattery, this is THE community
to ask.
Thanks for your time,
Jeff
