Just wondering, what if anything are people using to do sound recording
(from a microphone) on openbsd?
I've installed sox from ports, and after digging through the archives, I
found one message where someone mentions using sox. I tried the commands
given, as well as a few variations with ... sub-optimal results. Im get
sound that seems to be recorded at about 44kHz and played back at 11kHz,
or something that sounds like 22kHz sound and 22kHz static mixed together,
etc. Still haven't got a magic incantation that gets the sample frequency,
precision, encoding and number of channels right. (I don't think sox's
ossdsp emulation likes my soundcard)

I've also hacked up a little widget that appears to be spewing out .wav
data correctly, but I'll be darned if sox groks the output. Bottom line:
can someone send me a working command to record sound, or point me at a
package that does it right?

GDB has a 'break' feature; why doesn't it have 'fix' too?
