hi there,
i've been running a 3com airconnect (prism2) as accesspoint.
but last weekend the card didn't work any more.
dmesg tells:
wi0 at pci0 dev 10 function 0 "3Com 3crwe777a AirConnect" rev 0x02: irq
11
wi0: "3Com, 3CRWE777A AirConnect Wireless LAN PCI Card, Version
01.02"wi0: init failed
: unable to read station address
i think something happened to the firmware of the card.
on the website there was a package for upgrading firmware (only
windows) and i found a file called
S10008C3.HEX
this seems to be what i want to have on my card. :)
is there any way to upgrade the firmware with openbsd?
i found some linux-tools, too (prism2_srec.c).
or may be another problem with my card?
tried to set station name with
-bash-2.05b# wicontrol wi0 -m 00:e3:11:22:33:44
wicontrol: SIOCSWAVELAN: Device not configured
seems to be a physically issue.
thanks for any hint. :)
