status of mpt driver?

Under BUGS:

This driver does not function properly with MPT firmware levels higher
     than 1.03.00.


..I am currently at
Firmware version v1.3.24.0 (latest)...

..is this being fixed and if so (or not) what are the issues with this driver?

It worked OK when I tested it on FreeBSD or solaris so far.
