I use growisofs on openbsd-current/amd64 writing to a plextor-708A
DVD+/-RW.  It seems to work, but I wouldn't trust it on amd64 until
someone cleaned up some pointer / integer confusion.  On machines
where ints and pointers are the same size, things should be fine.
