Interesting, when I shrink the size of available memory by 712,703 bytes

The machine boots cleanly and is happy.

But, when I shrink the memory by 647,167 bytes it doesn't. ( Not going 
to bother to much deeper for 32/16/8/4/2/1 KB increments)
