Not with the amount of information you've withheld. The "-d" flag of
GNU date (coreutils) accepts a string to use for reference, rather than
"now". We have no way of knowing what format the strings are being fed
in as. Hell, your example doesn't even show what STARTTIME and ENDTIME
are being used for. But change the following, and [your snippet] should
work...
echo "Generating report to $DESTDIR from "$FROMTIME to $TOTIME"
