I love top posting when in-line commenting isn't appropriate. It
means that I don't have to page down to read the message (or find the
damn trackball and scroll down in a GUI). It's efficient and handy.
It also often leaves enough of the included message to get context.

Yes. Now can we talk about 4 line .sigs? (says the man who's
been using this "inter-net email" thing for 20+ years).
(I'll pass on the total unauditabily and low "mom factor" of
pgp and will not use the S/MIME standard on a list message).
